Macro 🌍

🏦 The Fed's first hike since 2023 (to 3.75%–4.00%) keeps the dollar supported. The US 10-year yield is easing slightly to ~4.97%, after touching 5.00% on Friday.

🕊️ Oil is sliding on Middle East diplomacy, and Brent is back near $102 (–1.8%).

🤝 All eyes are on Thursday's Trump–Xi meeting, with trade and AI on the agenda.

Asia 🌏

🇨🇳 China: the PBOC left its Loan Prime Rates unchanged for a 16th month (1Y 3.0%, 5Y 3.5%). The Shanghai Composite is up 0.4% at ~3,929, and the yuan hit a 3.5-year high.

🇭🇰 Hong Kong: the Hang Seng is up 0.4% at ~24,854, led by tech.

🇰🇷 Korea: the KOSPI is up 1.5% at ~6,996 on chip strength.

🇯🇵 Japan: markets are closed for a holiday. The Nikkei ended Friday at 65,019 (+1.4%) after the BoJ hike to 1.25%.
